Over the past several years, Tia has developed and dedicated a career to people development, non-profit consulting, and ethical Human Resource practices. Her past positions include serving as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, HR Generalist, and HR Manager; handling employee and union relations, benefits administration, policy development, Collective Bargaining negotiations, payroll, performance/talent management, training & development, 1099/W-2 full-cycle recruitment, and compliance. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Labor and Employee Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Professional Certification (SHRM-CP) from the Society of Human Resource Management. She has been a Certified Professional Resume Writer since 2017.

Tia believes in the power of partnership. Collaborating with clients - bridging the gap between what clients need and what they value is how she makes an impact. Building critical skills and HR/career competencies, strengthening client morale, and improving the employee experience are what Tia strives to do and is what Career Champs offers.
